Comprehensive Eye Exams
Drs. Bloom, Antonello, Pesce, Aikey and Altemus make up the vision care team at Bloom Eye Associates. They will conduct the most comprehensive eye exam possible using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. This allows them to accurately detect eye disease or other abnormalities early, often before they present any symptoms. In many cases, early detection can lead to treatments that will prevent vision loss.
Some of the innovative exams performed include Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), fundus photography, computerized visual field exam, and corneal thickness analysis. Once your eye exam is complete, your test results will be thoroughly explained so you have a complete understanding of your current eye health and vision needs.
Safeguarding Your Sight
Vision is both a precious gift and one of our most vital senses, which is why you should never compromise when it comes to your vision and your family's eye care. Our staff also includes Dr. Regina Altemus, our optometrist who offers complete optometric care, including:

- Diagnosis of eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration

- Treatment of eye infections
- Treatment of eye allergies for patients of all ages
Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with the most advanced medical equipment available, including both YAG and argon laser technology. Glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy can be treated as in-office procedures, affording you the ultimate in convenience and efficiency. If you need cataract surgery, you'll feel confident knowing that Drs. Antonello and Pesce will perform it right across the street at Roxborough Memorial Hospital.
If glaucoma is detected during your eye exam, a treatment plan will be developed based on your individual needs. Drs. Bloom, Antonello, and Pesce always look for the optimal approach, including pressure-reducing eye drops and laser surgery.
